Husqvarna Tuning Packages
HM Racing’s extensive development and testing of valve and valve seat geometry, coupled with further investments in machining capabilities has enabled us to provide “silver” and “gold” tuning packages at a reduced cost.

The “Pro” version provides the ultimate result, while the “Silver” and “Gold” liberate the majority of performance increases and represent excellent value for money.

For the 570 and 610 kick-start models, HM Racing offers the tuning packages below. If you are not in a position to remove and refit your engine, see our ride in ride out options.

Silver Tuning Package TC, TE, SMR

Modifications

  • Top end strip & rebuild (engine service base gasket upwards)
  • Stage one cylinder head work (valve seat position optimised for HM Racing valves, multi angle valve seat job, seats blended to ports. inlet manifold blended to port. VALVE GUIDE NOT REMOVED)
  • Fit valve spring conversion & set up spring tension.
  • Lighten & polish rocker arms (stress relief and more accurate cam tracking).
  • Set up compression ratio (compression ratio optimised for specific application).
  • Clock through cam timing (for maximum efficiency).
  • Modify clutch (to cope with increased power).

Silver ProTuning Package TC,TE, SMR

Modifications

  • Top end strip & rebuild (engine service base gasket upwards).
  • Stage three cylinder head work (valve guides removed, ports totally reworked, gas flowed modified guides re fitted, valve seat position optimised for HM Racing valves multi angle valve seat job, re working of combustion chamber).
  • Set up compression ratio (compression ratio optimised for specific application).
  • Lighten & polish rocker arms (stress relief & more accurate cam tracking).
  • Fit HM Racing camshaft, degree in (for maximum efficiency).

The HM Racing Billet Clutch Pressure Plate conversion should be considered (detailed opposite), due to the power this package produces.

Gold Tuning Package TC, TE, SMR

Modifications

  • Top end strip & rebuild (engine service base gasket upwards).
  • 577cc to 600cc conversion (cylinder ceramic coated to 100mm & HM Racing piston).
  • Stage one cylinder head work (valve seat position optimised for HM Racing valves, multi angle valve seat job, seats blended to ports. VALVE GUIDE NOT REMOVED).
  • Fit valve spring conversion & set up spring tension.
  • Lighten & polish rocker arms (stress relief and more acurate cam tracking).
  • Set up compression ratio (compression ratio optimised for specific application).
  • Clock through cam timing (for maximum efficiency).

To expand the engine tuning packages to a “ride in, ride out” service

Engine tuning packages are priced assuming that a clean engine, drained of oil is presented to us.

To convert our engine tuning packages to a ride in, ride out service, please consider the following additions:

Base dyno run, before work is commenced £45+VAT (optional)
Removal and refitting of engine from chassis £195+VAT
Running in £50+VAT (optional)
Power check and typical carburetion set up £100+VAT (optional)
Oils and fluids £18+VAT
