Motorcycle Servicing
At HM Racing we offer motorcycling servicing of the highest standard. We apply the same exacting standards that go into our race bike preparation, resulting in your bike being returned efficiently to optimal condition. We use genuine parts where appropriate and quality aftermarket items when considered advantageous and in agreement with the owner.
Servicing is based on the following.
HMR BASIC SERVICE (typically 3000 miles on most bikes)
-Oil & filter change.
-Clean & prepare or replace air filter as required.
-Full 20 point safety check including brakes etc.
-Clean & lube all pivot points.
-Clean, lube & adjust final drive chain.
-Check & adjust tyre pressures.
£145.00 + parts + vat.
HMR FULL SERVICE (typically 12000 miles on most bikes)
-Oil & filter change.
-Clean & prepare or replace air filter as required.
-Full safety point check including brakes etc.
-Clean & lube all pivot points.
-Clean, lube & adjust final drive chain.
-Check & adjust tyre pressures
-All of the above basic service.
-Replace spark plugs.
-Replace brake fluids.
-Replace coolant.
-Check valve clearances.
£295.00 + parts + vat.
We can also service to your requirements at £50.00 + vat per hour, so if for example you require a full service but without a valve clearance check, the price is adjusted accordingly.
In addition to this a routine service can be extended to overlap with HMR’s other departments. A dyno run can prove performance, a carburation / injection check can evaluate air /fuel ratio and identify areas of possible improvement and a cylinder leak-down check can quantify mechanical efficiency. We have the facilities to test and service fuel injectors something that should be considered on a major service. Regarding the chassis a lazer wheel alignment check can point to configuration problems and a suspension check can detect or prevent deeper issues.
